The Street Division of the Public Works Department maintains 57.99 miles of paved roads,12.12 miles of dirt roads along with Sidewalks, Stop and Street signs.
The Sanitation Division offers daily commercial sanitation services and residential service pick ups for garbage limbs, and leaves twice weekly. White goods are picked up on Wednesdays.

Our mission at the "Shop", the Maintenance Department is to maintain and repair all city owned equipment and vehicles. Since 1993, our team has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of service, in the South Georgia area.
We are equipped for mobile service as well as service and maintain all city-owned generators, both electrical and emergency. Our department also perform repairs for other local governments.
